문형표 보건복지부 장관은 내일(6.9, 화)부터 5일간(6.9-6.13) 한국-WHO 메르스 합동평가단(Joint Mission)이 국내에서 활동을 시작한다고 밝혔다.
WHO와 국내‧외 전문가 16인으로 구성된 이번 합동평가단은 이종구 서울대 의과대학 이종욱글로벌 의학센터 소장과 케이지 후쿠다(Keiji Fukuda) WHO 사무차장이 공동단장을 맡고(명단 별첨), 질병관리본부에 합동평가단 회의실이 마련된다.
합동평가단은 첫날 9일 오전 보건복지부 장관 예방을 시작으로, 역학조사‧감염관리 등 분야별 토론, 환자 발생‧격리 병원 방문 그리고 질병관리본부와 협력하여 MERS-Corona 바이러스 특성 분석을 진행할 예정이다.
그리고 오는 13일(토)에 합동 평가 결과를 문형표 장관에게 발표하고 언론 브리핑을 가질 예정이다.

Republic of Korea and WHO Joint Mission to start from 9 June 2015
• Mr. Moon Hyungpyo, Minister of Health and Welfare, Republic of Korea, announced that theKorea - WHO Joint Mission will be conducted for 5 days, from 9 to 13 June 2015.
• The joint mission team consists of 16 experts – 8 from WHO and 8 from the Republic of Korea WHO and Korea (see Annex 1). It will be co-led by Dr. Jong-Koo Lee, Director of JW LEE Center for Global Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine, and Dr.Keiji Fukuda, Assistant Director-General for Health Security, WHO. A temporary office for the joint mission will be set up in the Korea Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (KCDC).
• The joint mission will begin with a meeting with Minister Moon Hyungpyo on 9 June 2015. Its planned activities will include: discussing epidemiological investigations intothe confirmed cases and infection control, visiting the hospitals that had confirmed casesor are keeping isolated patients, and analysing the characteristics of the MERS-CoV in Korea in cooperation with KCDC.
• The mission will end with its official reporting to the Korean Minister of Healthand Welfare followed by a press conference on 13June(Sat).
